how many bikes do you have dad

so i don't think it was entirely dishonest to say "oh a couple here, and couple at the farm". So who knows cyclist language.? A couple means 5 to 7 specifically. Basically a couple means half a dozen you know; it's super chill like that..don't get stressed out about it ya know,...it could be a lot worse... I could be a borderline horder etc..!

more on the theme & happy Sunday, Sabbath, Saturn what-evah!!!...BRING IT!!!

Praise God in his sanctuary;

praise him in his mighty heavens

Praise him for his acts of power;

praise him for his surpassing greatness

Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet'

prasie him with harp and lyre'

praise him with timbrel and dancing,

praise him with the strings and pipe,

praise him with the clash of cymbals,

praise him with resounding cymbals

Praise the LORD

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord

qumran scroll... so i built that(an) altar, guess you could say.(but)was it pleasing?...

well, that was seven days ago, look what i found today!
bikewise this summer i unearthed an old frame that was rapidly becoming an ancient artifact, this resurrection procurring a sort of single speed (fixie prototype)...meh i like it!!
(A Noncanonical Psalm-see above image-)
Surely a maggot cannot praise thee nor a grave worm recount thy loving-kindness.
But the living can praise thee, even those who stumble can laud thee. In revealing
thy kindness to them and by thy righteousness thou dost enlighten them. For in thy hand is the soul of every
living thing; the breath of all flesh hast thou given. Deal with us, O LORD,
according to thy goodness, according to thy great mercy, and according to thy many righteous deeds. The LORD
has heeded the voice of those who love his name and has not deprived them of his loving-kindness.
Blessed be the LORD, who executes righteous deeds, crowning his saints
with loving-kindness and mercy. My soul cries out to praise thy name, to sing high praises
for thy loving deeds, to proclaim thy faithfulness--of praise of thee there is no end. Near death
was I for my sins, and my iniquities have sold me to the grave; but thou didst save me,
O LORD, according to thy great mercy, and according to thy many righteous deeds. Indeed have I
loved thy name, and in thy protection have I found refuge. When I remember thy might my heart
is brave, and upon thy mercies do I lean. Forgive my sin, O LORD,
and purify me from my iniquity. Vouchsafe me a spirit of faith and knowledge, and let me not be dishonored
in ruin. Let not Satan rule over me, nor an unclean spirit; neither let pain nor the evil
inclination take possession of my bones. For thou, O LORD, art my praise, and in thee do I hope
all the day. Let my brothers rejoice with me and the house of my father, who are astonished by the graciousness…
[ ] For e[ver] I will rejoice in thee.

spring and back to the gears

here's a song about my joyous new experience though: on the first day of christmas my true love gave to me...a bike with no gears! so the song goes on, but not far from the new years mark, my first fixed excursion came last winter, (oddly, yet somehow blessedly, enough)... and on the second day of christmas i rode my single geared racelight dynamo down the street in about minus ten and ten cm of powder! on the third day of christmas i learned how to skid boss-like on the beautiful frozen puddles and some vast, glassy mid-winter ice sheets sprawled upon the asphalt all around town. alas. on about day 64 bike stolen. again. before learning skids on the tarmac...

zen and synchronously finding a shiny new wrench on the road while contemplating this book:)

okay so i've been thinking of the idea of a bike barometer, well whatever. just saying to anyone who knows what i mean. there is riding with the wind, there is reading against the wind, but then there is those magical low(no?) pressure rides, where basically, you just effin' fly going updownor around!

....ah yes and then there is some of the not so little things...
did you know that often the pack and the planning takes a lot more time then the ride does? Don't forget; when you put the pedal to the metal bikes really do fly...however packing the right necessities to be transported when attempting to travel feather light is no small matter! so take heart! the biggest legitimate fear of cycling really is getting out of the house! this brings me to rule number one: whatever you pack on a bike will also fly. That's right, if there is any remote chance of slippage, rattleage, or otherwise dangerous situations waiting to happen; just try securing something to your bicycle improperly. Let me save you some time, money, or pain right now, with the old adage caps locked  here> in bold...MOVE IT OR LOSE IT.
holey font change batman!

shoulder checking

here is a great thing i've learned: shoulder checking to the right...its really simple, but if you ride like a maniac where things happen really quickly on the streets, or even if you don't ride like a maniac, things happen really quickly on the streets so listen up! the right side shoulder check. you've probably heard it said before that your body follows your head. i've noticed every time i do a shoulder check for traffic, as i don't have room, or time, for mirrors, my body naturally floats a bit to the left. Way too many times this has resulted in a horrendous whoosh that just about sends you reeling into the abyss, with  a resonating "YES" a car WAS coming. so basically, perhaps still a dangerous maneuver notwithstanding, the right side shoulder check might seem like a pain in the neck ( haha-ha heehee-hoo!!!!!!!!!!!) but it works just as well, and i don't know about you but i'd rather pick sand , muskrats, or road crew signs out of my teeth than bumpers out of my buttcheeks...(how's my score anyway, should I quit the day job yet?)

time to stretch (your head) as i don't know what this has to do with cycling

people seem to think with technology these days we are so smart. I don't think the ancients were stupid though; in fact, I think that spiritually they were perhaps far more advanced

other than sheer immensity, did you know that Stonhenge is not entirely unique? There are numerous stone circles to be found throughout the country. Imagine the old testament wilderness; there must have been a lot of piled stone scattered throughout the land

and a few great temples

And one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out of the fat pastures of Israel; for a meat offering, and for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, to make reconciliation for them, saith the Lord GOD.

Aside from the symbolic significance or holiness of making an offering to the Lord, the physical act of building an altar seems unparalleled in anything we do today

Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You

it would probably be better if you just used that 9 -letter 'C-word'. Then they could love you or hate you

a biblical year/bible excerpts/from exodus 4

1Then Moses answered, “But behold, they will not believe me or listen

to my voice, for they will say, ‘The LORD did not appear to you.’” 2The

LORD said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A staff.” 3And

he said, “Throw it on the ground.” So he threw it on the ground, and it

became a serpent, and Moses ran from it. 4But the LORD said to Moses,

“Put out your hand and catch it by the tail”—so he put out his hand and

caught it, and it became a staff in his hand—

And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his staff twice,

and water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their

livestock.

But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and

divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through

the midst of the sea.
